Tuesday, Microsoft Corporation announced that it is planning to open its first two retail stores in Arizona and California this fall. The software giant said Tuesday that it has signed leases at shopping centers in Mission Viejo, Calif. and Scottsdale, Ariz. The Shops at Mission Viejo already houses an Apple store, while the other location, Scottsdale Fashion Square, does not have a competing shop.
The company said that it picked those areas because they qualify as "hot markets," attracting the right age and income bracket demographics. The stores will sell laptops in addition to Microsoft and third-party software, Zune mp3 players, and Xbox 360 games and consoles. Courtesy of finance.yahoo.com
